Keep your eyes peeled as you travel about Hamilton and Wenham this summer! Beginning June 23, look out for our Wild Reads mascot, Allie , in local town offices and businesses! Once you spot her, come in and write where you saw her and your name and age. At the end of each week, we’ll have a raffle to choose one winner for a special prize! Must be 12 years or under to participate. One entry per visit to the library. Contest ends August 15. Track Allie’s progress on our website. Let’s see where Allie goes this summer! If you have read a good book, share your name and the title and add your sea creature to our ever expanding ocean! Once we fill the wall, we will make a donation to the Whale Center of New England!

Summer’s here so it’s time to pick up your Reading Log and Time Chart and start earning your 2008 Monkey Money! You earn one dollar of Monkey Money for every hour you read (or have stories read to you). Keep track of your reading with your Time Chart and write the titles of the books you read in your Reading Log. You only need to write the titles once! Reading Logs and charts will be available in the children’s room beginning Monday, June 23. Spend your Monkey Money on unique items sold at the Library Store like pencils, paperback books, museum passes and more! The Library Store opens for business on Monday, July 7, and closes on Friday, August 15. This activity is open to all children from preschool to students entering 6th grade.
Remember: In order to collect your Monkey Money, you must bring BOTH your Time Chart and your Reading Log. Be sure to come during the store's open hours. No Exceptions! Happy Reading!
Photography Contest
Grab your camera and snap some photos and enter them in our Photo Contest. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to all participants! Contest runs from June 23 through August 1, 2008.
