Summer Reading Challenges

Summer Reading at the Hamilton-Wenham Library

June 22 through August 11

We have created a customized 7-week long online reading challenge for the Hamilton-Wenham community—all ages are invited! The program is free. As you read and log books, and engage in challenge activities, you will be entered in our weekly prize drawings.

Beginning June 22, 2024, you can start recording your reading and participate in activities, located exclusively in Beanstack, our online reading platform.

If you created an account last summer, please use the same account.

New to Beanstack?

  • If you are a first time participant, create your Beanstack account at https://hwlibrary.beanstack.org/

  • Sign up individually or keep track of all family members’ reading progress and rewards with the same account.
  • Log your books and activities from home or on the go. Beanstack is browser-based, but has a mobile friendly app.  The Beanstack app is available for iOS and Android.

There are separate challenges and prize drawings for children, teens, and adults. Beanstack will automatically direct you to the appropriate challenge activities based on your age group. Each badge you earn counts as one entry each into our weekly prize drawings for local gift cards. The more badges you earn the more entries you will have in the drawings. We will contact you if you win a prize. Prizes must be picked up in person by Sat. August 31.

We hope you will join us this summer as we go on a journey filled with fun activities and reading challenges. We’ve set a 7,500 books read community reading challenge goal. If successful, reaching it will qualify the library to be entered into drawings for Bruins prizes.
